About Kentaro Ohno

I am the technical manager and engineer with over 13 years of hands-on experience in the mobile communications field. Early in my career, I began as a validation engineer, performing functional testing of base stations and operations-and-maintenance systems. I then moved into core network design and deployment for a major carrier, implementing firewall (Juniper SRX) and load-balancer (F5 BigIP) solutions from requirements gathering through detailed design. In subsequent projects, I led integration and rollout of 5G RAN equipment—driving MORAN (multi-operator RAN) expansion, coordinating software upgrades, and resolving complex field issues to ensure network stability and performance. Most recently, as a Technical Manager, I have been responsible for defining technical strategy, managing schedules and quality, and mentoring engineering teams. I coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, oversee risk management, and spearhead automation initiatives to improve efficiency. My strengths lie in delivering projects on time and under budget while simultaneously building team capability and sustaining high levels of network quality.
