About Kenya Carter

My mission is to build a culture of learning, foster innovation, and utilize technology to drive both associate satisfaction and key business metrics. I have a proven track record in strategic planning and creating/enabling learning curriculums at scale. I am a big thinker with a high level of expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, experience design, program management, and digital transformation. I have 20 years of experience in corporate learning and development for a large organization. I am wildly creative, solution-oriented, and able to quickly move from concept to execution. I currently lead GEICO's corporate eLearning and Learning Technology team. Prior to this role, I managed the new agent onboarding program for Auto Service. I created the “flipped classroom”, a full-scale curriculum re-design that delivered a modern, student-centered learning experience. The program utilizes digital design tools and the curriculum is on-demand (video-based, searchable, and retrievable) with less dependency on Trainer execution. For 10+ years, I was responsible for a complex corporate training program for tenured GEICO associates. My project management experience, instructional design expertise and creativity allowed me to successfully implement large scale/high impact training initiatives. I am well versed in corporate communication, virtual learning, learning needs assessments, Trainer development, and driving accountability of key stakeholders. I also have a strong background in insurance (Subject Matter Expert) and eLearning development (storyboards, narration, video editing, etc.) I have been very successful with managing L&D programs that achieve results.
