About Kere Thomas

I’m a seasoned communications professional. My expertise ranges from healthcare to insurance to nonprofit, in both corporate and agency settings, with global experience. What do I enjoy most about my work? Meeting and learning about the people I’m working for… the customer. That’s what got me to my two favorite projects of all time: creating a documentary about people who were living with schizophrenia and working with the Epilepsy Foundation to develop their first National Walk for Epilepsy on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. And when it’s not about them, it’s about the employees who make it possible to help the customer. Using communications to reinforce the value of the business and engaging with employees every day is what keeps me going when it comes to my job. Experience includes: • Employee engagement, corporate/media relations, executive communications, speech writing, crisis/issues management, brand/product communications, change management, digital and social media strategy • Coaching, influencing, and leading senior leaders on their communications effectiveness, cross functionally and across geographical boundaries • Working with and understand internal and external stakeholders
