About Keren Mitchell

I am a dually licensed Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice with over two decades of experience as a clinician, researcher, and educator in community mental health, substance use, and harm reduction. I am the sole proprietor at Alchemystic Therapy, where I provide Radical and Somatic psychotherapy, prescription mental health medications, including medically supervised tapers off antidepressants, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy to adult clients. I have worked with youth and adults across a wide range of conditions, with a focus on complex trauma, substance use disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, and concurrent disorders since 2004. I am skilled in Motivational Interviewing and I have provided care in clinics and by outreach, mostly in Urban Vancouver. Since 2020 I have completed coursework related to Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Somatic Psychotherapy. Highlights of these courses include the MDMA Assisted Therapy training program through the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Psilocybin and MDMA Assisted Therapy Training and Prescribers training through TheraPsil, the Ketamine Assisted Therapy Intro and Intermediate Psychotherapy and Prescribers Modules through Polaris, Level 1 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, and the IFS Online Circle Program. I also work as an NP ADHD consultant at the Adult ADHD Centre, where I provide diagnostic assessments and treatment recommendations via telehealth.
