About Keri Emms

I joined the Correctional Service of Canada in as a Correctional Officer at Stony Mountain Institution. Throughout my years of service I have held a variety of positions in the Operations branch including Correctional Officer 2, Security Intelligence Officer and Correctional Manager. In 2018 I took a career step that I never thought I would and moved into a senior manager role as Assistant Warden, Operations. I love the many challenges that we face in our day to day operations and enjoy problem solving with my amazing colleagues at SMI. I enjoy coaching and mentoring staff who are looking to move forward in their careers and am a strong advocate for future female leaders in this line of work. I have recently been appointed to Deputy Warden and continue to grow and learn daily in my career. I have been blessed with some amazing leaders and mentors in my career and I continue to rely on the guidance of some of them today as I navigate the next steps of my career.
