About Kerri Hensler

As an innovative and collaborative healthcare leader, I direct nursing operations across five campuses of a nationally ranked medical and surgical facility, including the nation’s largest transplant hospital. My leadership spans perioperative services including preoperative, intra-operative, post-anesthesia, endoscopy, ophthalmology, cystoscopy, and one of the most complex pediatric departments in the country. I focus on delivering operational excellence, driving process improvements, and collaborating with executive leadership to align strategic initiatives with hospital goals. Honored with the 2024 AORN Emerging Leader Award and recognized as a 2024 Nurse Leader's 'Leader to Watch,' I am dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards for patient care, patient experience, and clinical outcomes. As a strong advocate for evidence-based practices in a Magnet recognized facility, I work to integrate compliance and best practices into every facet of service delivery. My approach emphasizes empowering frontline teams in decision-making and supporting the professional development of staff to drive outstanding results and a culture of excellence.
