About Kerri Sage

If there's one thing I can say for sure about myself, it's that I'm adaptable. While deployed on CVN 77, USS George H. W. Bush, I had to adapt to ever-changing situations and make the best of whatever was thrown, like a 2 AM fire five stories up on the other end of the battleship. I'd be awake and running in ten seconds flat. Do you need armed security in the morning? I'll be there. I want to get a head start on my college education while deployed. You'll find me on the mess decks studying between watches. As a Damage Controlman, I developed a quick reaction time, the ability to think on my toes, and remain keenly observant of the things around me. Even though my service ended, I remained diligent and adaptable. As a full-time adult student, I juggle school, work, and other obligations with the skills I developed while serving in the US Navy. Switching to the customer service role came quickly after my honorable discharge, allowing me to grow as a bartender, server, and receptionist. I've excelled in these fields by connecting with the guest on more than a surface level, making a memorable and enjoyable experience for them, and developing my own set of loyal customers. Once transitioning out of the food service role to a receptionist role, I was able to adapt my people skills to work in person, over the phone, and in texts/emails. I'm quick to locate and solve any problem that may arise, making customer lives more manageable. While serving your country and your community may not have much in common on the surface, the skills I've learned and honed while in these positions helped me grow into the well-rounded woman I am today.
