What a long, strange and exciting trip it's been. From Boston's Best Beer Bar, The Sunset Grill & Tap, which helped put me through college, to a writing/editorial position at Panorama magazine, to the entrepreneurial life as a hospitality mystery shopper, then a gratifying experience in the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children's development department, raising funds for a vital cause, followed by a return to the business world, establishing a boutique branding company, conducting seminars and workshops, winning New England Business Bulletin's Top Young Professionals Under 40 award, and creating an award-winning, socially responsible apparel line, all of which prepared me for the countless hats I wear in my present position as the president of the office of the Oscar-winning writer of On Golden Pond and filmmaker, Ernest Thompson (also known as my husband). Together, we started Rescind Recidivism, a prison writing program that offers inmates a chance to feel constructive and respected. And, thanks to the pandemic, I have returned to my writing roots and am currently working on a memoir and a growing number of personal essays.
