About Kerris Dillon

As an Adjunct Psychology Professor at Kirkwood Community College for over 12 years, I have been teaching and lecturing about various topics related to the human mind, behavior, and society, such as brain anatomy and physiology, motivation and achievement, positive thinking, manifestation, criminal deviancy, sociopathy vs. psychopathy, communication, parapsychology, and spirituality. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and insights with students and colleagues, and for engaging them in stimulating and meaningful discussions. I also have a PhD in Psychology from Walden University, where I conducted research on the effects of meditation on stress reduction and well-being. In addition, I have an EMT Basic certification from the Iowa Department of Public Health, which reflects my interest and skills in emergency medical services. I am proficient in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and networking, and I enjoy meeting new people and extending my circle of friends. In my spare time, I love spending time with my three beautiful children, being outdoors, going to movies, and having great conversations.
