About Kerry Bauer

I am currently responsible for the management and implementation of all IT-related topics for Eyona Energy. My IT background has mainly been focused in the motor manufacturing industry, as a Business Analyst (SAP) for the Mercedes Benz production plant in East London. I was contracted to this position for a combined total of 13 years, as a Project Consultant with Business Connexion. The areas of IT which interest me the most are the use of IT as a tool to assist in Business Process Management, and Business Process Improvement. Another area in which I find great job satisfaction, is in the area of lecturing and teaching. I was the course manager and lecturer for Information Systems II at the University of Fort Hare, both for the East London and Alice Campuses, and a lecturer for Information Systems 1 at the Port Elizabeth Technikon, East London Campus (Now known as Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University). I have also taught in a Primary school environment to children in the advanced IT program. My experience in the IT arena has been wide and varied, from early days of Software development and deployment through Business Analysis and hardware upgrades, to Business Process Management. My life outside of IT - After 5 years of volunteering in the transition area for IronMan70.3, I was the the deputy director of the transition area, taking care of thousands of athletes millions of rands worth of bicycles, almost transition bags, and water safety procedures. I ride a mountain bike for fun and fitness, I have 2 grown children and one of my most memorable moments was jumping off a dive boat into the ocean in the sardine run (had never dived in my life). I dabble in woodwork and photography when I get the free time.
