About Kerry Coffman

Senior Magento FRONTEND Developer. I am first and foremost a front-end developer. Being where the UI is at is where my little developer heart calls home. I love working in technology, particularly in areas where there are innovation and opportunities for growth. I have quite a bit of experience in the worlds of fine arts, audio/video industry, and what I lovingly call "playtime" in programming. I am very detailed oriented, I take my mobile-first responsive coding seriously, and I have a strong eye for pleasing UI design. I am also very capable of working with comps from multiple Adobe Creative Cloud design applications. I have 15+ years of coding experience dating back to 1998 where I have touched on quite a few technologies. Current notable skillsets include: HTML5, CSS3, JQuery/JavaScript(ES6), LESS, SASS, Bootstrap, Knockout JS, Require JS, XML (as it applies to Magento), GitHub, Jira, Node, npm, a light bit of grunt and gulp, and PHPStorm (ftw!). On the side, I have a couple of YouTube/Twitch channels where I film and upload content. Some videos are edited with Premiere Pro. I am also teaching myself 3D artwork with Daz3D and Photoshop, as well as how to code games with Unity. As of May 2020, I have my "Unity Certified User: Programmer" Certification. At my church, I am either singing in the choir, acting as the Worship Coach for our Elementary Large Group Shout Out team, or running lighting and sound for the children's ministry.
