About Kerry Dexter

I am writer, producer, photographer, educator, and editor with experience across the arts, humanities, history, and travel, and specialties in Irish, Scottish and North American music, travel especially in Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and the United States, and history, as well as creativity and creative practice. My work has appeared in publications ranging from the classical music print magazine Symphony to the academic reference work Ireland and the Americas to the long running folk music print magazine Dirty Linen to the award winning web sites Perceptive Travel, Wandering Educators, and Music Road. I've also written about higher education, guidance, and careers for books published by Princeton Review, and about writers, architects, musicians, the Winter Soldier investigation, the Irish American community, Irish language learning, restaurants in Scotland, and the cultural and economic geography of the Irish Sea, among other topics, for a variety of publications. In addition I have produced television and radio programs, with work in both commercial and public broadcasting. I directed legal research for projects for the Florida Supreme Court - and have worked as a cook/chef, preparing many gallons of spaghetti sauce and baking many loaves of bread each day. and write about food and restaurants on occasion, too.
