I have worked in a finance environment for over 20 years. I have been working at Coop Atlantic since 2001, where I started as an accounting clerk, then was quickly promoted to a Retail Accountant, the position I currently hold. I am responsible for the complete accounting cycle for several retail locations. I have experience in journal entries, accruals, inventory counts and calculations, budgeting and analysis. I have also have experience with performing bank reconciliations for several departments. I initially started my career at a property management company as a rental clerk, then moved up to the position of tenant relations, then unto the bookkeeper position. This position allowed me to grow as an individual and develop my skills. I then decided to further my education by enrolling in the Masters program at the local university on a part time basis. I continued to work in the finance while completing my Masters. I am logical and analytical. I am a conceptual problem solver and highly independent. I am practical, systematic, thorough and hard working. I am always interested in learning more and developing my skills. I am a good listener and a creative thinker. I am disciplined and precise. I have good powers of concentration and am always up for a challenge. I am known to be reserved and quiet person but very pleasant and cooperative. Due to the circumstances at Coop Atlantic, I know my job will soon be coming to an end, therefore, I am looking for new opportunities within the local community.
