Background

About Kerry Nelson

I simply like being around people. I love learning about their personal and professional lives and generally ask way too many questions. I spent 27 years working in the government sector in what I call the “people business”. I genuinely believe all persons have good; sometimes we just have to look harder to find it or mine for the quality. I spent the last 20 years of my first career in personnel administration and operations, but mostly invested in people. I also spent 10 years teaching at a major university where I was investing my expertise and experience in people. I retired from those jobs in August 2017 and have stayed in the people business. I am an advocate of community safety through evidenced based assessment, therapy, supervision and control. Even at a personal level I love being engaged with people and love helping. I am engaged in my community serving in board roles and as a volunteer. When not working or volunteering, I love hanging out on the back patio with my wife of 30+ years. We have one daughter who has, thus far, made us very proud. Life is good and God is good.
