About Kerry Watson

I seek to utilize the skills and experience I obtained during my military career in my new field of public health. I have maintained a 4.0 my entire university career and have focused on health education and promotion. In December 2017 I graduated with a B.S. in Community Development focusing on health science. I am currently a public health graduate student. I hope to combine my leadership and management experience from the military with the new abilities I'm obtaining to help people with their health needs on a very personal level. At 39, I have accomplished much and intend to keep on meeting the very high standards I set for myself. I am passionate about holistic healthcare, yoga, animal advocacy, and obtaining optimal health with diet as the foundational component. I am an avid world-wide traveler and have seen much poverty and despair. I believe this exposure and subsequent understanding has increased the compassion I have for helping those who are suffering and need help. I have served as an intern with the Children's Health Watch program through the University of Maryland School of Medicine. I have served as a victim advocate with HopeWorks of Howard County.
