About Kerry Young

I have over 20 years experience in Quality Assurance Over that time I have worked in Process Inspection, Quality Assessment, and Procurement Quality Assurance,(5 of those years were in Leadership). Currently I work for Parker-CSD in Ogden Utah. Here I am responsible for Component and Receiving inspection, I have worked my entire career in a Quality system which assures compliance to; NQA-1, SAE AS9100 and ISO: I have a vast knowledge of precision measurement techniques and instruments using surface Plate inspection methods. I have been trained in Operation and Programming for Optical Gaging Products CNC Smart scope,(A Co-ordinate measuring system using both Optics and Probes). Trained in Faro Laser Tracker operation,certified in Operation using LEICA Theodolite Systems, along with conventional optics methods. Our duties typically included: Verification of datum feature callouts on the as built tool and component that the features comply within the engineering tolerances.(I.e. true position, perpendicularity, Runout, Parallelism, Flatness, concentricity, angularity, straightness and other dimensional features. My strengths include: Adaptability, Hardworking, efficient in getting the job done and consistent. Most that know me would describe me this way. I have always been a considerate and kind individual with those I have worked with. In times of tension and disagreement, I am the type that remains calm and will try to resolve issues in an ethical manner. I have completed 3 years of University Study. Most recently I attended Weber State in the Mechanical Engineering Curriculum. I have enjoyed working in Quality Assurance over the years; I am always anxious, willing and ready to advance my career in other arenas of this field.
