About Kerryn Symes

I have 22 years of industry experience, starting my career as a general insurance broker with Austbrokers, Whitbread and Honan. I joined DUAL 15 years ago as a financial lines underwriter in Melbourne, supporting the southern region. Over the years, I advanced to Senior Underwriter and Assistant Regional Manager for the National Business Unit, focusing on partnerships and the emerging authorised representative networks. In 2018, I became Southern Regional Manager, leading the Melbourne underwriting team for five years responsible for Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the AR's nationally. In October 2023, my career changed course and I commenced in a newly created position as Head of National Partnerships where I purely focused on our National Strategic Partners. After relocating to Sydney in August 2024, my responsibilities expanded to managing the NSW underwriting team and overseeing operations across NSW and the ACT, where I can combine my expertise in managing our key broking partner relationships with a passion for leading underwriting teams.
