About Keshav Koolwal

I am currently pursuing my Master's at university of Michigan. Learning new concepts and softwares is what I am focusing on to level up my skills. I am an innovator, I like to develop new technologies and products. I've worked with 2 new products and secured a patent for a braille box. As a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer and composite lead at Formula student Team Uttejit, I applied my Automotive knowledge and mechanical skills to design and manufacture the Formula Student Vehicle and it's composite parts along with my team learning a way to working with different departments as a single team. I also worked with LabVIEW, SolidWorks, Ansys and CAD/CAM software to create simulations, models, and prototypes of the car components during my research in the crashworthiness of autonomous vehicles it help me secure a Publication at Heliyon. In addition, I gained valuable research experience as a project research intern at DRDO Research Centre Imarat (RCI), a premier laboratory of Defense Research and Development, I assisted in developing and testing reinforcement learning algorithms for self-driving cars. I am currently Pursuing my Master's in Automotive Engineering at University of Michigan I have opted courses like Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics and Occupant safety and Crashworthiness to develop my skills further and mold myself according to the industry requirements, I have also got the opportunity to engage myself with Professor Jingwen Hu in the research for crashworthiness and Occupant Safety at UMTRI Lab. I am passionate about learning new technologies and applying them to real-world problems in the fields of automotive, and robotics. One big example is my work on a new product development "Braille Box"; It is a device used by blind people to learn Braille code. My achievement in this project was to challenge the market and reduce the price by 90% with a utility patent for the same. My goal is to become a successful and Knowledgeable Automotive engineer and innovator who can contribute to the advancement of science and society through Automotive Industry.
