About Ketre Dickens

Growing up wasn't always the easiest, but I had individuals in my corner who instilled traits within me in order to ensure that the tough times didn't last forever. When I was younger, my mother always told me "the limitations of the world will not overshadow its opportunity’s in your life." Despite the struggles that striving for success often bring, I refuse to surrender. Persistence, competitiveness, and influence are a few of the many qualities I pride myself on. I have served as an inspiration to many of my peers, the children in my community, and connections elsewhere through avenues like sports, activism, and entertainment.At Colgate University, my God given talents only further flourish. Given the diverse communities and environments I have been involved in, I have better been able to effectively navigate social and isolated spaces. I plan on leaving every situation I'm involved with in a better condition than when I arrived. I am passionate about identifying issues AND resolving them accordingly. Critical thought is something I lean into. The world is much more complex than black and white, and that's where I find its beauty.
