I have had a pretty fun run and enjoyable variety of things to do in my business life so far. I spent most of my adult life in residential real estate sales getting to know families & helping them upgrade their homes or downsize depending upon where they were in life.I also like desk/computer work. I like to be organized. It's kind of like playing Tetris in organizing:) The other part that is fun besides meeting new people all the time, was to map out the homes in an order for the best time efficient yet comfortable drive to each property. Once my boys were grown and my elderly mom went into asst living, I wasn't needed to be "on-call" anymore, I worked in a Luxury yarn shop in Encino, CA where I enjoyed helping customers pick out projects & yarn, fixed mistakes and taught some to knit while opening/closing and general care of the shop & inventory plus sales. That job closed with the Covid business shut down. A month or so later I was hired in the bakery of a large grocery chain in Studio City. I was happy there in that while so many people were stressed out about the unknown Covid at the beginning, the only place people were able to go out of their homes for a while was to the grocery store. The smell of the freshly baked cookies waffed across the store and people were able to smile & feel good for a few moments. On a daily basis I also used the computer gun to do the inventory on all the bakery display tables, and removed the almost out of date products which we donated to the local shelters. That was a really fun job getting to chat & help customers many I saw weekly. I was there until some long-time friends invited me to rent their guest house in No. CA. I packed up in September of 2021 and moved to Weed, CA, near Mt. Shasta. While In Weed I worked for Network One, a Low Voltage Cabling Co. as their Liaison to Subcontractors across the U.S. There I created spreads and made cold calls to potential subs from the Yreka office, sent out forms for the subs to fill out and return along with their COIs. I was laid off in Aug of 2022. A week later we were evacuated with 45 mins to get out due to the Mill Fire. Ended up driving to Portland for the first time to stay with friends for a week or so. While here, I ran around with my resume looking for administrative work. I had a verbal commitment for a job starting in Nov. when I arrived but it ended up disappearing once I got here.In February of 2023 I was hired as an Executive Assistant to 8 Commercial Industrial Brokers based in Downtown Portland, OR. Now I am looking for a new hybrid position. I
