My interest lies in five key areas: Moving to where the “puck” is going I appreciate this saying, it depicts the way one needs to always be anticipating. By understanding change and trends one is able to stay ahead of the pack. Behavioral economics This has been my interest for the past 10 years as I love to learn about what drives people and results in the choices they make and how one can use this insight to make decisions. Technology The rate of technological change is incredible. It is fascinating to see how this change affects our lives and how we adopt it to make things easier and faster. By linking behavioral economics and understanding of trends one can determine which technological trends/products will be adopted while those that are hyped but add no intrinsic value will fall away. Learning I am passionate about learning a little every day whether it is a Youtube video by an NYU professor giving a lecture or a blog post by a tech guru talking about the trends or a book by an economist. This all adds to my body of knowledge and ability to make decisions in life and business that are value adding. Family Business I speak at global events/conferences on topics related to family business. I am a 4th generation member of my family to be apart of our family business. Having directly experienced the challenges and benefits of working in a family business as well as investing in numerous family owned and operated businesses I am able to share my insights into the nuances that make family businesses successful and failures.
