About Kevin Almodovar

With 15 years in the video production industry, I have acquired a variety of skill-sets. I have extensive experience producing, directing, lighting and editing. While my passion is truly in lighting, either as a director of photography or as a gaffer, I enjoy all aspects of taking a project from a blank slate to creating a compelling story for an audience. I am proficient in using the Adobe suite to include, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition and Media Encoder. I also have experience editing and coloring in DaVinci Resolve. I currently own a 1 ton grip package with about 50 lighting fixtures. I extensive knowledge of a large variety of commonly used light as well as an expert understanding of lighting and color theory. I have a keen ability to predict the unexpected and to meticulously plan a production to lessen the obstacles that could find their way into a project. I am a quick thinker and a troubleshooter which allows me to tackle issues efficiently to find solutions and keep the project moving in the right direction.
