About Kevin Bentley

I am a general purpose software developer with 30 years experience in application development and database design. That experience has been applied across platforms ranging from handheld scanning devices up to mainframe environments. Most of my development time is spent in the Microsoft dot net environment, developing api end points using C# and Sql - with regular forays into javascript / angular / react front end development when the task at hand requires it. My current responsibilities include writing back end computation routines for student result statistics, and delivering the results to the US Dept. of Education. this work requires tuning sql server and oracle queries and then applying C# algorithms to the resulting data sets for further computation. I am also responsible for application deployments to Dept. of Ed servers, and their IT partners such as HII. In addition I currently manage a group of developers who collectively support projects for ETS and the department of education. I coordinate requirements gathering, Jira ticketing and scrum meetings for in flight application maintenance and development.
