About Kevin Brien

As a Project Manager and Skilled Tradesman at MDK Contracting, I have been involved in various construction projects for residential clients. In 2015 I began my journey as a tradesman, and since then I have contributed to the execution of numerous projects, as well as the supervision of staff and subcontractors. I have applied my skills in carpentry, electrical, painting and demolition to ensure that jobs are completed safely and with high quality. With a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Tampa, I have a strong interest in the social and legal aspects of crime and justice. I have gained valuable experience as an intern at the Mountain Lakes Police Department, where I assisted with patrols and community outreach. While I was in school, I worked as an educator at Lululemon, where I shared my passion for fitness and wellness with customers and colleagues. I helped increase the store UPT by providing quality guest experience, presenting my knowledge of our merchandise, and executing sales tactics to persuade the guest to consider other items. Following my graduation, I became an assistant teacher at Incarnation Catholic School. I was tasked with instructing 5th grade for the remainder of the school year, as well as substituting for other staff if needed. This role tested my abilities in time management, lesson planning, discipline, and patience. I also spent time assisting in administrative work, such as inventorying school curriculum, providing support in school drills, and advertising school events. Taking this into consideration, I am eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities that come my way. I am particularly interested in the fields of criminal justice, social work / mental health care, and education.
