About Kevin Chen

I'm currently a full-time MBA student at Kellogg School of Management with a focus on finance. Prior to business school, I worked for Scotiabank in the Toronto office and accumulated significant experience in risk management and data science. I am skilled at leveraging advanced tools (SQL, SAS, and Python) and methodologies to produce data-driven solutions and initiatives, as well as building cutting-edge machine learning models (boosting, deep learning, etc.) to help the bank reduce credit loss. I also earned the CFA charter after passing all 3 levels of exams while at the bank. Given my technical background and project management experience, I am challenging myself to develop stronger business acumen and hone various leadership skills through Kellogg experience.In my spare time, I enjoy piloting planes, having earned my Private Pilot Licenses in both US and Canada. At Northwestern, I am committed to various communities, which I am contributing to through various clubs, such as Canada Club and Investment Banking Club. I also enjoy outdoor activities, including ultimate frisbee and urban exploration, and enjoy spending personal time running 5K with my friends along the lakefront.
