About Kevin Evers

My main experience and passion lies in the field of green- and biobased-chemistry (I also have experience in techniques like; FTIR, NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-/GC-MS, UV/VIS Spectrometer and more). I’ve done a lot of research on how to replace oil based products like PET and aromatics. One of my abilities is being able to quickly solve problems which occurred during my projects and internships. I was always intrigued and interested in what caused these problems. For example, when the polymerization didn’t go further than trimers, I found the cause by checking the vapor which turned out to be acid and therefore making the mixture basic and stopping the polymerization. During my internship, I encountered many setbacks but despite them, I always persevered and didn’t give up on the main goal. This was much appreciated by my colleagues. At my current job, I work as analyst 2 where my tasks are to check GC-MS results and keep the GC-MS’s running. The combination of troubleshooting, maintenance, checking results and putting the samples on the GC-MS in relation to timely, fully and accurately delivering results requires clear overview and a stress resistant personality.
