About Kevin Ewing
As an artist, I have had success showing my work nationally and am working to expand that success to an international level. I am motivated to create artwork that is intellectually and formally challenging and engaging. I have taught at a variety of colleges and universities, and I get a tremendous amount of personal fulfillment in my role as an educator, helping students to achieve their own goals and to gain self-confidence. My teaching is an important aspect of my professional development. Before redirecting my career to focus on fine art, I spent many years in the advertising, retail design and commercial art fields as a graphic designer and design director, where I was responsible for developing comprehensive retail environments. I also have many years of experience as a successful, award winning freelance illustrator specializing in traditional mediums. Specialties: Mixed-media sculpture, installation and drawing.
