About Kevin Gobetz

I am a passionate and driven musician currently working as Principal Bass of The Phoenix Symphony. Early on in music, I learned how to manage myself mentally and physically for the challenge of matching up to the rigorous competition of professional auditions. I pride myself on being my own career marketer. I enjoy the responsibility and challenge of having to seek out my own opportunities as a freelance musician and humbled by the mistakes and learning opportunities that inevitably happen along the way. Being a career musician has allowed me to hone skills that can be used in all professions. I have learned the value of community and of interpersonal connections with both my peers and my audience, I have developed the discipline, focus, and sacrifice it takes to be competitive in my profession, and most importantly, I have come to the conclusion that at the end of the day, I love to help people. Music can deliver a wide range of emotions to someone, and if I can help them feel and enjoy themselves, that is the ultimate gratification. I believe a desire to help people drives almost any business that I can think of, and I am happy to be able to bring that sense of purpose wherever end up.
