About Kevin Hixson

My skills are focused in two different areas. I am an expert in systems and test engineering for large scale government and commercial software for satellite systems. I also am a Pro Martial Arts Franchisee. I have provided test engineering support for more than 10+ years to all levels of test from unit testing a single developers code, through system tests and even lead multi-system validation testing to ensure all parts properly fit together. I have designed both the overall test concepts and built specific test cases for the most difficult situations. I also have provided analysis tests when the only reasonable way to prove something is on paper. No test group has unlimited funds, so designing the test correctly the first time is key to success. I have provided systems engineering support as well throughout my career. This support includes helping the end customer design the best system based upon their limited funding. I have helped with prototype activities to build replicas that can prove or disprove a concept far before spending the money to build a full scale version. I also provide support on the other end to help in critical discrepancies to ensure the solution is timely and appropriate both short and long term. Doing the best design up front with thoughts on how you will prove it meets the customers needs in entirety greatly reduces the need for the back end redesign. I am also the owner of a Pro Martial Arts location. I have joined up with Pro Martial Arts due to their focus on anti-bullying and anti-predetor issues. They have a top of the line program to help kids be not just able to defend themselves, but also to be the best role models for their age as well. While Pro Martial Arts is a martial arts franchise, they really are a character development and child protection group that just accomplishes getting the message out through Martial Arts.
