UNIVERSITY EDUCATION I graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics and a Minor in Mathematics, along with an Associate’s degree in Mathematics. My coursework focused on economics, statistics, and mathematics, where I gained hands-on experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Stata, and R. I also served as Vice President of the Actuary Club, where I collaborated with peers to prepare for actuarial exams, deepened my knowledge of programming languages like R and SQL, and connected with industry professionals including actuaries and analysts. DATA ANALYST INTERN EXPERIENCE WITH BLU SPIDER MEDIA I completed a data and analytics internship with Blu Spider Media, a growing digital marketing company. Leveraging Google Analytics, Google Data Studio (now Looker), and other tools, I gathered and analyzed client data to provide actionable insights that supported businesses in making informed digital marketing decisions. BUSINESS DATA ANALYST EXPERIENCE WITH MYADVICE Shortly after my internship, I accepted a Business Data Analyst role at MyAdvice (formerly Advice Media). My primary responsibility was building and maintaining executive dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. I developed and automated Python scripts to extract data from APIs and load it into a MySQL database. Using SQL, I transformed and cleansed the data into structured, analysis-ready tables. I then integrated the processed datasets into BI tools such as Google Looker Studio and Amazon QuickSight to create interactive dashboards and reports aligned with stakeholder requirements. Beyond reporting, I collaborated across departments to conduct audits, fulfill ad hoc requests, automate processes and notifications, and document workflows. I also worked extensively with systems such as Sugar, PlanHat, HubSpot, PipeDrive, PandaDoc, Intaact, Stripe, Trello, Zendesk, Jira, and SurveyMonkey to support analytics and business operations. In my final year with MyAdvice, I managed a team of two analysts, overseeing projects and ensuring the company’s data needs were met.
