Experienced Production Support Technician with a demonstrated history of work within the leather industry, trained in First Aid, Manufacturing Operations, Lean Manufacturing, 5S. Second to none work ethic and knowledge of the machinery within the factory - Graduated from Stanley Green high school. My main duties are to improve processes within the finishing department by standardization; setting up a preventative maintains schedule & ensuring all process procedures are adhered to. This leads to being more efficient thus leading to a right first time methodology helping us reaching our weekly & daily OTIF targets, • Researching & introduction of cost reduction initiatives through process capability studies. Supporting all day to day production schedules requirements. • Introduce and testing of new machinery/ equipment ensuring they are fully signed off as fit for purpose from a production & technical point of view. Writing all their processing paperwork - o SOP’s o SSoW’s o TM’s o Building training manuals & sign off requirements • Reducing production costs via machinery optimization, innovation, processing flow, and improving efficiencies. • Stand in supervisor when required for up to 50 people. • 5S/Kaizen methodology ensuring high levels of housekeeping adhere too. • Creating high-level PowerPoint and CAPEX presentations for processing and machinery improvements that are made to the board. • Training current & new employees on all new products, procedures, and equipment within the finishing department. • Maintaining the highest standard of quality through daily process reviews and ensuring the machine operator’s adherence to SOP’s and TM’s. • Investigating production issues through RCA’s reporting their findings to department heads, managers & directors. • Assessing all re-works before writing their required processing routes.
