I'm the type of person who gets genuinely excited about solving complex problems, whether that's figuring out why a floating wind turbine is vibrating unexpectedly or building a neural network that can predict material behaviour 20 years into the future. My engineering background taught me to be thorough, but I'm naturally curious about how things work beyond just my field. I tend to dive deep into whatever I'm working on - I spent months learning everything from wave mechanics to advanced statistics just because the problems were interesting. What I've realised is that I'm pretty adaptable. Started with civil engineering, got pulled into computational modelling, then discovered I actually love the data science side of things. I'm comfortable jumping between writing code, running physical experiments, or explaining complex technical concepts to non-engineers. I don't shy away from challenging projects - actually, I seek them out. The harder the problem, the more I want to crack it. I've learned that being persistent and willing to learn whatever tools are needed usually gets you there eventually. The problem-solving mindset still stands! I work well with teams, but I'm also comfortable tackling problems independently. I believe in doing things right rather than just fast, but I'm practical about trade-offs when deadlines matter.
