Experienced Nurse with a demonstrated history of working in the veterinary industry. Skilled in Veterinary Medicine, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Critical Care Medicine, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, and Marine Biology. Strong healthcare services professional with a Post Baccalaureate focused in Specialized Sciences, Pre-Health, Advanced Biology from University of Pennsylvania. Former Penn student with vast experience in healthcare. Enlisted in the Army in becoming a combat medic & healthcare specialist, eventually working as a flight medic in 2009. I have worked as an emergency and intensive care veterinary nurse for 17 years. I have worked on ambulances as an EMT and in emergency rooms doing clinical research. I have been an adjunct professor of Manor College where I taught medically related Biology courses to college students as well as high school students for college credit, both in person and via video teleconference. I have been an Academic Associate screening and enrolling patients clinical research studies under Judd Hollander in the ED at HUP and Joe Zorc at CHOP. I completed the Specialized Science Pre-Health Post Baccalaureate program at Penn's School of Arts & Sciences College of Liberal & Professional Studies. I completed the Pre-Med Pilot Program at the Philadelphia VA medical Center. I have conducted anthropological genetic research at Penn with Theodore Schurr for National Geographic's Genographic project, where I sequenced segments of participant's genomes. I worked for Temple Health as a Senior Mission Support Coordinator, speaking directly with physicians wishing to transfer patients from one facility to another. I coordinated these transfers ensuring appropriate placement, acceptance, ensuring they met medical qualifications and financial clearance, and ultimately arranging transport by land or air. Interested in patient care as well as clinical or scientific research with compensation proportionate to my level of expertise.
