About Kevin Kullar

My parents spoiled me with Hot Wheels. I had a suitcase full of them that I would drag everywhere. As I grew, I realized that any sort of sport was of no interest to me. I would drag my mom to car dealerships to look at cars that I read about in Road & Track, Car and Driver & Automobile Magazines. So I became an accountant. And somehow, I got a job at a dealership. I did 7 years of accounting management. Experienced store acquisitions, and many new franchise openings. I felt extremely fulfilled being a part of some major projects. I thought I would spend my life in automotive accounting. One day, a good friend told me I should try being a sales manager. At the time, I thought he was nuts. In hindsight, he needed a numbers guy. So I threw away my career and started fresh as a retail sales manager in a new store. No one respected me. I hadn't sold a thing. So I worked to compensate for my shortcomings. Year and a half later I became the GM. Once again, a fish out of water. Work harder to compensate for my shortcomings. Through the experience, I realized I love the used car business. Going to Adesa and feeling like I had been hit by a truck after 3 hours. Researching for hours and coming away with nothing. Making no money on the front and trying to justify it to my sales team while winking at my parts and service teams. The used car business is something I became passionate about. So I decided to open a store. Time will tell what the next paragraph reads like. Here goes nothing.
