About Kevin Lea

I’m a digital insurance innovator with a passion for transforming how commercial insurance is delivered in Canada. As Director of Digital Product Distribution at Axis Insurance, I specialize in modernizing the insurance buying experience through technology, automation, and user-centric design. My journey began with a Risk Management degree from the Haskayne School of Business, followed by hands-on experience as a commercial claims adjuster and broker. I became one of the youngest partners at Rogers Insurance before co-founding Fuse Insurance in 2017—a digital-first brokerage that has since won multiple national awards for innovation and service excellence. At Axis, I lead digital strategy across Canada, focusing on scalable, tech-enabled solutions for program business. I also serve as Vice President of the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA), represent Alberta on the IBAC Technology Committee, and contribute to national conversations on AI in insurance through the IBAC AI Working Group. Whether building platforms, mentoring teams, or shaping policy, I’m driven by a single goal: to make insurance smarter, faster, and more accessible for businesses of all sizes.
