About Kevin McClelland

I am a financial advisor with Edward Jones. On my team are Registered Branch Associate Heather Heron and Branch Office Administrator Valerie Laughlin. By converting technical knowledge into practical and actionable strategies, we help our clients live their financial lives on their own terms. I proudly served four years active duty for the U.S. Air Force. I began a banking career in 1990 and joined Edward Jones in 2013. I deeply understand the complexities that come with special situations, as I am a father of an adult child with autism. To assist, I've earned the AAMS®, Chartered Special Needs Consultant® and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations. The ChSNC® designation, conferred by The American College of Financial Services, provides training on the unique challenges facing individuals with special needs, their families and their caregivers, and how to address them. I am committed to helping clients build bright futures for themselves and those they care for. I was born and raised on the East Coast and am still a Philadelphia Eagles fan. I moved to Kansas City in 1994 and live in Lee's Summit. My wife, Heidi, and I have four adult children: Jacob, Dylan, Madison and Ian. We also have a golden retriever, Rogan, and a Yorkie named Sophie. I enjoy our family time and am passionate about traveling with my beautiful wife. Heather joined our team in 2023. She came to us with four years' experience in the financial services industry. She recently moved into the registered branch associate role and is excited to be able to serve our clients in a deeper capacity. Heather and her husband have two boys, ages 4 and 8. She enjoys researching genealogy, tending her backyard berry patch, and camping with her family. Valerie recently joined us from another Edward Jones office. She has 21 years' experience in banking. She has two children, ages 20 and 14. In her free time, she enjoys coaching her daughter's volleyball team and scrimmaging with her son.
