About Kevin Monaghan

My name is Kevin. I was born in Quebec City and moved to Gatineau when I was 9. I have been proud to call the Ottawa/Gatineau region my home ever since. My friends would describe me as calm and rational individual with a slight obsession for sports. Growing up I developed a passion for business, I first graduated with a Honors Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Business degree from the University of Ottawa. While in University I was given my first opportunity into the financial world as a personal and business financial service representative with Toronto Dominion Bank. Over time I learnt to ask the right questions which lead to great value provided to my customers and many positive interactions. After graduating I was given a new opportunity. I was thrilled to start working at accounting firms which has led me to where I am today at Lekadir LLP, a young fast growing accounting firm. As my accounting career has progressed and I have been given the responsibility to take the lead on many client’s business files; I have taken the same principals of providing value and asking important questions to my clients. Not only do I look at my accounting client’s bottom line and profitability, I also look to their futures bringing fourth accounting knowledge and if needed various business experts to my client’s table. My goal is to help my clients weigh bigger opportunities through my extensive business network. My accounting, tax and audit practice is not about me. It is about my clients. This is one of the reason’s my clients confidently refer me to their business friends and colleagues. I work hard for this level of earned client trust. One of my passions and profound interests is animal care. For this reason, I am a contributor to the SPCA. My SPCA gifts are going to help a pet in need. This is meaningful to me as it is for so many Canadian pet owners just like you.
