About Kevin Moore

I stem from a background in full stack application and distributed system development with experience in UI/UX design, Back end REST API integration, Big Data and Database administration. I am highly motivated, innovative, with excellent interpersonal, communicative and problem solving skills. Throughout my career to date, I have developed numerous web services and applications which are in use both here in Ireland and worldwide. I am very passionate about my work and I believe in providing the user with the best possible experience when using an application I have developed. Just some of the the technologies I have experience with are as follows: Kotlin, Java, AngularJS, JavaScript, Typescript, Node, REST API, HTML5, CSS3, C#, Php, Oracle, MySql, Postgres, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, TDD, Jira, confluence, Gitlab, bitbucket. I have extensive experience in agile development environments harnessing TDD, front end first and feature orientated approaches to deliver CI/CD while following a micro service architecture. I’ve worked with teams of all sizes locally and Operating remotely or on-site with clients across the USA, Europe and Ireland. My day to day work consists of running daily stand ups, retrospectives and feature kickoffs to ensure team transparency. I mentor junior and intern colleagues, coach the squad to swarm bugs as a unit when they arise, encourage pair programming and boosting team moral where possible! I love nothing more than grabbing a good cup of coffee and getting stuck in to a story on the board and seeing it through from start to finish! I encourage fair scrutiny for merge requests and a total no blame culture. We celebrate the wins and deal with any issues together.
