I strive to develop close relationships with clients by applying a Goals Based Approach to Wealth Management. Since starting with Merrill in 1993, I help clients address a broad range of wealth management needs. My team and I at The O'Connor & Burns Group know the value of financial education in mitigating anxiety many people feel when investing. I'm committed to communicating clearly and regularly about financial strategies, goals and objectives. In 2025, I was recognized by Forbes as one of the "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" for New York for the fifth consecutive year.(Published annually Jan – April. Rankings based on data as of March 31, of prior year.)* In 2004, I was appointed to the position of Resident Director (now Senior Resident Director) for the Syracuse office. This is a dual role, serving as both a Financial Advisor and leader in the local market. The Senior Resident Director leads our firm strategy by providing training and coaching to Financial Advisors and Client Associates. I am motivated to grow the office with talented individuals through recruitment of experienced Financial Advisors and candidates to our training programs. I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Le Moyne College. My wife Michelle, also a Le Moyne College grad, and I reside in Syracuse. I've been involved with various nonprofits and help direct charitable work from the Syracuse office of Merrill to encourage participation from employees with organizations that are meaningful to them. In my free time, I enjoy golf, skiing and traveling.
