About Kevin Payton

Kevin Payton has worked in Recreation since 2007. He is currently the Recreation Supervisor at the Parkway Community Center for the City of Chula Vista, where he oversees day-to-day operations as well as citywide Youth Sports Programs and coordinates the use of the Chula Vista Woman's Club. Kevin has also worked with youth afterschool and sports programs, sports field and facility reservations, and managed the Nature Explorers outdoor adventure program for the County of San Diego for over 10 years. He lives in Tijuana, BC with his wife, son and twin daughters. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and live sporting events Kevin is currently the Director of Sponsorships for District 12 of the California Park and Recreation Society and a board member with the San Diego County Office of Education's Outdoor Education Foundation. He has dedicated himself to continuously improving his professional knowledge by attaining Master of Business Administration, Certified Park and Recreation Professional, and Certified Youth Sports Administrator certifications. His goal is to work in a way that prioritizes the enhancement of community spaces, recreational activities, and promotes healthy and active lifestyles. He works to play a key role in ensuring that public spaces become thriving hubs for recreation and community while creating vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable environments for individuals and families.
