About Kevin Porter

Kevin Porter is a retired freelance creative professional now focused on his fine art photography, traveling the U.S, and otherwise just having fun doing the things I enjoy with family and friends. I am also interested in exploring board opportunities with conservation-oriented non-profits. Kevin has over 35 years’ experience in creative services - strong editorial and visual design skills along with extensive experience managing print and electronic media projects for web design, online communications, email marketing, social media, corporate communications, and fundraising campaigns. His client base consists of small biotech and pharmaceutical companies, environmental non-profits, historical societies, and in the last few years, a group at Boston College focused on D.E.I. initiatives in the workplace. In addition to the creative services he has conducted research in the life sciences, consulted in the non-profit sector, and volunteered on the local conservation commission. Prior to pursuing a career in creative services, Kevin worked for several years managing scientific instrumentation and conducting scientific research in cell biology at what is now the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has BS and MS degrees in the Biological Sciences. Kevin is an avid outdoor enthusiast and nature photographer. He enjoys activities in all four seasons. He has hiked and climbed extensively in the New England and spends time each summer in the White Mountains and Acadia National Park, hiking, biking, and paddling with family and friends.
