About Kevin Powell

My name is Kevin Powell. I graduated from Austin Community College in December 2015 with a Certificate of Completion in Information Technology with emphasis in User and Computer Support. After graduation, I worked for Harte-Hanks as a Telecommunications Specialist. I trained Fed Ex clients on how to use Fed Ex software and services. While working at Harte-Hanks, I received a perfect score on my monthly performance evaluation 3 times and I also earned “Quality Agent of the Month” in July 2016. I started working for Overhaul Group in August 2016 as Customer Support Representative. I offered support to freight drivers on the company phone application and assisted them in finding information on how to use the app. I also monitored the load as it was transported to its destination. I am currently on furlough from Overhaul due to unforeseen financial cutbacks. My supervisor explained that my release was not due to my performance, but only for financial reasons. I am looking for a position to build a long term career that will allow me to utilize my experience and skills to promote and foster professional growth.
