About Kevin Ramirez

Passionate about protecting both our native wild game & fish in the State of Texas through conservation & connecting with people through the love of recreational hunting and fishing. Though I started as a Marine Biology major, I recently completed my minor in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. My involvement with the Texas Student Chapter of the Wildlife & American Fisheries Society has opened several opportunities for me to succeed within these fields. I've had the chance to not only learn new skills but also was able to polish some of the skills I already posses. Some new skills I've acquired within the last 6 months consist of introductory passive and active fish sampling techniques, danioscope software program skills, R Studio, animal handling, and invasive species ID skills. My current goal is to continue to grow in order to become better qualified in the near future. From boat electrofishing to habitat assessments, duck banding, deer captures, CWD checkpoints, to the possibility of Wildland Fire Management, I strive to better myself in order to have a successful career.
