I received my Inter-provincial Red seal Carpenter 1982,Journeyman Scaffolder ticket 2003, NCSO designation 2013,COHS University of New Brunswick 2018. I have a well rounded work history,most recently, Safety Coordinator on Run of the River Hydro projects on B.C west coast, which included drill and blast operations, heavy equipment,1.8 km tunnel, and large innovative,challenging concrete structures. Safety Coordinator on a Hydro project in Northern Ontario, General foreman, heavy industrial projects in the oil sands, Carpenter foreman/ Scaffolder in live oil and gas plants, Superintendent on multi family projects. Extensive supervisor experience,problem solving skills,communication skills,strong leadership and mentoring skills, all that has led me to and compliments my career in Safety and now most recently, back to the operations side of the industry. As a Construction Officer and Safety leader, I am able to offer solutions and support to our contractors. I have learned my craft from some of the best and worst in the trades, but have been able to take something positive away with me from every site. This has helped me relate to the diverse personalities on a construction site. Starting my career in construction at 16 yrs of age,I have seen and been a part of safety's evolution on construction sites. I am very proud and happy to have been a part of the BC Hydro Safety team,and now a Construction Officer with the Site Project Management & Construction Operations Team, building this large,exciting Site C project.
