About Kevin Rush

I am a Certified Surgical Assistant certified through the National Surgical Assistant Association and currently serve on the Bylaws, Parliamentary, Policy and Procedures Committee. I was previously certified I as a Surgical Assistant through the American Board of Surgical Assistants (SA-C) and as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA);(formerly known as the LCC-ST). I completed the surgical assistant training program at South Plains College, Levelland, TX. I have 12 years of medical employment as a Certified Surgical Technologist and Surgical Assistant and six years as a laboratory technician. My experience working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds has given me the ability to effectively communicate and work with people in a variety of situations. My prior work experience has allowed me to develop the following professional skills: • Prioritize tasks; • Work independently and as a team member; • Respond promptly to inquiries and requests; • Identify problems and propose solutions; • Communicate well in difficult situations; • Share information clearly and accurately in both verbal and non-verbal forms; • Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point Presentations Specialties: Interest in cardiothoracic & peripheral vascular surgery
