About Kevin Shers

As a manager with BDO Public Sector, LLC, I provide excellent support to government clients and am a trusted advisor. I have 15 years of experience in government consulting including financial management, business analytics and optimization, audit readiness and support, and information technology (IT) security compliance. I’ve been instrumental in developing tools to manage large-scale audits, produce financial reports, and calculate grant accruals. I have facilitated Change Control Board meetings and have extensive experience working with IT Security and Privacy Controls. I’ve developed and maintained relationships across organizations such as from audit assessable unit groups, the field and clients and done so even during transitions. Thanks to the many great people I've worked with, I've had the experience to help manage the growth of very large organizations and be a part of improved productivity, making ambitious goals possible. I'm a BDO career advisor, member of the Public Sector Training Initiative and serve as the CGFM Chair on the board of the AGA, Northern Virginia Chapter.
