About Kevin Shott

Hello! My name is Kevin Shott, and I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor’s degree in business marketing. I am currently working as a server and bartender at a local Italian restaurant. My junior year of high school proved to me I am seeking to pursue a career in the business world. My friend and I partook in a national competition known as the ProStart Management Competition. We had to write our own business proposal for a restaurant, come up with several marketing tactics, as well as price out our menu to see what would most likely warrant a decent profit. At the end of the competition, my friend and I managed to achieve first place in the state of Massachusetts, and fourth place in the national competition. This competition also greatly boosted my self confidence in presentation and public speaking, as well as allowed me to gain skills in writing a business proposal. For my future, I am going to be grateful for any opportunities in the business world that happen to arise. I am looking forward to the future, and can’t wait to unravel what it holds for me.
