About Kevin Tay

Kevin has more than 20 years of strategy, business development, and product experience across transaction banking, management consulting, payment market infrastructure, and payment service providers. He is currently Swift’s Head of Strategy in Payment Scheme business unit globally. As a key member and architect behind a new scheme to uplift cross-border payment experience on fiat rails, Kevin is instrumental in the conceptualization, early design, building of early adopters, and roadmap since its inception, both pre and post 2024, Kevin has been appointed a Payments sub-committee member of Singapore Fintech Association. Prior to Swift, Kevin has held various strategy and product roles at DBS Bank, OCBC Bank, McKinsey and NETS Group. Kevin believes that having a clear strategy and communication to align the organization, culture to encourage innovation, disciplined execution and values-driven talent are what makes successful companies great. He strives to create an environment that encourages talent development, integrity, and an intrapreneurial/entrepreneurial mindset.Kevin graduated with First Class Honours in Engineering from National University of Singapore and was awarded Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal. He has completed the Oxford Fintech Programme and holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was elected an Edward Tuck Scholar.
