Hello, I am a highly motivated professional with a strong background in higher education and student affairs. My educational journey includes a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Western Carolina University, which I completed in May 2018, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mars Hill University, obtained in May 2015. Previously, I served as the Director of Student Involvement at Medaille University from July 2021 to January 2023. During this period, I played a pivotal role in advising Medaille College's Student Government Association (SGA) and overseeing the utilization of a substantial budget. Managing a departmental budget of over $50K, I successfully coordinated a diverse range of events on campus, including MavFest, Weeks of Welcome, dances, banquets, and much more. I nurtured relationships with external contractors such as Neon Entertainment, Blue Apple Productions, and Swank. Additionally, I provided comprehensive support to student organizations and their advisors, ensuring their growth and success. As part of my responsibilities, I also spearheaded the planning and execution of Fall and Spring New Student Orientation, as well as hiring and supervising student staff and orientation leaders. Building upon my experience as the Director of Student Involvement, I currently serve as the Director of Residence Life & Student Involvement at Medaille University, a position I have held since January 2023. In this role, I oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including directing the housing selection process, managing campus housing assignments and changes, and ensuring the smooth operation of residence halls. I am also responsible for tracking housing charges, serving as the Director of Student Conduct, and supervising a team of Graduate Residence Directors. Before joining Medaille University, I worked as an Assistant Director of Housing at Mars Hill University from June 2018 to July 2021. In this role, I coordinated the housing selection process, managed campus housing assignments, and served as a liaison with various departments. I also gained experience in student conduct proceedings, supervised residence halls & staff, and played a crucial role in the transition to a new housing software system. Throughout my career, I have continuously sought opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. I have facilitated academic courses, such as "Enduring American Dialogues" and "Western Civilization," and actively participated in committee memberships, including the J.E.D.I Council and Staff Council at Medaille University.
