About Kevin Tseng

I started to study painting and drawing when I was seven. My parents brought me to a Master’s studio every Saturday. What did I learn from the great Master? Not that much I can recall. The little boy could not wait until class finished. But when I was a little bit older, I began to organize neighborhood kids to gather neighborhood news; drew cartoons, drafted brief stories, and then started my newspaper/magazine “career”. Later I had the opportunity to develop my graphic talent and skill when I was the chief editor of student newspaper in high school. That was early in the computer age. As you can imagine, that was the time we could not undo mistakes simply by a keystroke. Because of those weekly sessions, I developed a good sense for balancing graphic and text, coordinating photos and articles. I continued my media publishing interest in university and was elected as Editor in Chief of the Student Society Newspaper and Magazine when I was 19 in Taiwan. The same year, I interviewed current Taiwanese President Mr. Ma for his opinions of Tiananmen Square Protests; I witnessed Taiwanese students support to this democracy movement. Who knows I might have become an excellent journalist? But I loved being a graphic designer and allowed my design creations tell more stories. It has been a while since I was involved in my first graphic design and publishing projects in high school. Modern and advanced publishing technology fills our canvas with unlimited imagination and possibilities. I enjoy being a graphic designer and I know I’m good at it. I am Kevin Tseng, thinker, action taker, a better designer.
